About Course
Read any P&ID with confidence, from valve symbols to following a stream across sheets.
For operators, technicians, students and engineers. No experience needed.
9 short video lessons · Certificate · 7-day refund · 74.6K learners on YouTube
What you’ll be able to do
- Recognise every common valve and actuator symbol, and what “fail closed” or “fail open” means
- Read instrument tags like LIC-101 or PSHH-107 using ISA 5.1 letters
- Follow a control loop: transmitter → controller → control valve
- Spot the safety systems: SDV, BDV, PSV and interlocks
- Decode a line number such as 6″-P-1102-A1A, reducers and spec breaks
- Follow the flow across sheets with off-page connectors
One running example: every lesson uses the same three-phase separator, V-100, so the whole drawing makes sense by the end.
